Laying down foundation stones for 2 agricultural greenhouses
The Ambassador of France on 9th March to laid down the foundation stones of two greenhouses in order to produce grafted citric health plants in the district of Kavre.
The construction of these greenhouses is within the framework of the project financed by Food Security Program for Nepal (FSPN) and implemented by a Ngo ECARDS (Environment, Culture, Agriculture, Research and Development Society) in the partnership with the University of Bordeaux 2. This project is to develop the production of citric fruits in the district of Kavre by distributing grafted plants for the first time in Nepal and by fighting against parasitic diseases and infections like Huanglongbing. In addition, this project supports a three month training program in Management of Nursery and Grafting Technique for two horticulturists in Brazil this year.
