Ambassador Carmona pays a courtesy call on Rt Hon Prime Minister Mr Sher Bahadur Deuba
Kathmandu, 19 June 2017:
Ambassador Carmona paid a courtesy call on Rt Hon Prime Minister Mr Sher Bahadur Deuba earlier today.
During the courtesy call, Prime Minister Deuba congratulated the newly elected French President Mr Emmanuel Macron. Prime Minister Deuba also recalled the age-old friendship between Nepal and France and thanked France for its support after the earthquake of 2015.
Ambassador Carmona congratulated Rt Hon Prime Minister on his new responsibility and also on the progress made by Nepal with regards to the elections. Ambassador reiterated France’s support to Nepal’s peaceful democratic process.
Ambassador Carmona also apprised the Prime Minister of economic cooperation (especially the dossier of Kathmandu Urban Cable Car project) and how the French companies have shown their interest in doing business with Nepal.
Ambassador Carmona was accompanied by Mr Arnaud Champy, Deputy Chief of Mission.
